Thursday Sundries - It's Not All Unpacking
Tuesday we decided to take a break and start a bit of exploring our new hometown.
I have located my nearest library branch and we all have our library cards, but we decided to check out Imaginon in downtown Charlotte. This is the Children's Library in the system.
While I still need to figure out the whole parking situation (or bring a ton of change with me), we parked and walked a couple of blocks through an amazing park area.

While I still need to figure out the whole parking situation (or bring a ton of change with me), we parked and walked a couple of blocks through an amazing park area.
The landscaping is beautiful, filled with lots of flowering shrubs and plenty of flowers.
After a walk through the park, we arrived at Imaginon.
It seems anyone, or anything, is allowed at the library!
Multi-levels filled will all kinds of wonderful things for children. And adults! There is even a large "Teen Loft" on the upper floor, set aside for teens.
Tons of activities going on everywhere. We came for the dinosaur 'thing'. After reading a book, Lady K got a ride on a dinosaur around the library. She loved it.
I am going to have to fully explore the offerings here. Everything from plays and movies for young ones to story time activities.
Leaving (with promises of return trips to Lady K) we walked over to where the 'train' stops.
Another area of research. We want to take the train and ride from one end to the other one day, just to see what it's like.
Outside the library is also this cute 'typewriter' and other assorted desk items, all suitable for Lady K to climb on.
Walking back to the car, we took a slightly different route so Texter and Lady K could visit the 'water'.
A large, dancing water feature where there were plenty of kids in swimsuits taking advantage of it the water. Another promise of a picnic and return trip to play in the water was made.
I can see I have my work cut out for me figuring out all that Charlotte as to offer.
