Bookish Thursday - Books Finished and Books Reading Now

Ok...It was announced on Monday, the 10th book in the Merry Gentry series by Laurell K. Hamilton is coming! Pre-orders should be up by now. And bet your booty, I am preordering!

I have been waiting for 13 years to get this book!

While I enjoy her Anita Blake series, which has the most books in it, Merry Gentry was my first introduction to Hamilton's writings and I love it more than the Anita Blake books.

But this is for 'future me'.

Currently, I did finish Twelve Months by Jim Butcher

This book was a bit more 'calm' and reflective. Which it should be as Harry is healing, mentally and physically, from the battles in the past couple of books. It was very interesting to follow his journey through a year and how he comes to accept what has happened and what is going to be going forward. Definitely a good read and now I want to go back and reread all 18 books!

But I can't, I have too much on my shelf which I need to get to.

Another book which is a spinoff from all the Arcane Society books. Set in present day, plenty of crystals, psi-activity, and paranormal senses to make for a fun read. Plus, as much as I love my Dust Bunnies from her Harmony and Ghost Hunter series, there is a dog here. And it looks like there may be more dogs in the future.

I savored the following book, listening to it on audio. The sequel is on pre-order I enjoyed it so much.

I did guess one of the subplots of the story right off. And as I get near the end, it has gotten spicy! And with the many inches of snow on the ground at my house, a little 'heat' is appreciated.

So a lot of anticipation on upcoming books and hopefully getting a few of the current books off my TBR shelf.
