Bookish Thursday - Turns of Fate by Anne Bishop

There are a handful of authors who I will preorder their books and Anne Bishop is one of them. I have read, and read again multiple times, all of her books. I have a shelf of nothing but her books.

And...

At 68, staying up all night and reading a book is a bit too much for me. I love my sleep!

However...

I received this book at about 7pm on a Saturday night and started reading shortly thereafter. I finished the next day about 11am. At 500 plus pages of it. And I am salivating to get my hands on the next book in this world. Because Anne wouldn't just let me hang!

One of the things I really enjoy about her books is the world she creates. Her 'Others' series takes the world as we know it and changes it up with shapeshifters being the dominate species. And Elementals and Elders.

With Turns of Fate the world is similar to ours, modern - cell phones, computers, etc. However, across the river is the Isle of Wyrd. And this is where the 'uncanny' reside. You don't mess with the uncanny. So what happens when there are crimes committed or people disappear while visiting Wyrd? You need to have a human police officer to investigate and those officers need to know how to work with the inhabitants of Wyrd.

So now there is a mystery series set in a strange world with magic.

Write faster Anne!
