Positive Focus Sunday - Lists and 'Getting It Done'
Saturday was one of those days where it felt so good to knock things off my to-do list. Sometimes doing just the little things make the biggest impression.
So...
- Went and picked up potting soil from Lowes
- Picked up Krispy Kreme for Lady K who is here for the weekend
- Started the first of 2 loads of laundry
- Filled the dishwasher and ran a load
- Cut up some ripe red sweet peppers to dehydrate to grind into paprika
- Lay out the remainder of the peppers (2 baking trays worth) to allow to ripen into red
- Turned the crushed pineapple into 2 pints of pineapple topping (reminds me of my paternal grandfather)
- Made 1 quart and 1 pint of cranberry juice
- Made 2 pints of cranberry/orange sauce
- Printed out and taped together a pattern for a quilted jacket
- Crushed egg shells and put in jars to use in the garden next year
- Watered inside plants
- Potted up about 50 cabbage plugs (it's a long story)
- Cleaned out the 2 litter boxes
I am well satisfied with yesterday.
Now...
I will admit keeping up this level of activity is not something I can or plan to do. Well, I do plan that level, but it really doesn't happen!
Today I basically have four 'goals' in mind...
One - sew up the 4 Christmas stocking I have cut out.
Two - use my Cricut to cut out names for the stockings (but have to wait for my Amazon delivery of transfer tape)
Three - get a row cleared in the garden and get onions, broad beans, wheat and barley sowed
Four - plan next week
But for now...more coffee!
