Week in Review - November 10 - 16, 2025

So...

My week came to a crashing halt when, on Saturday evening, I received my copy of Anne Bishop's latest book, Turns of Fate. Anne Bishop is one of my favorite authors. I have all but a couple of her books. I have also reread them 4-5 times over the years. Life came to a halt when I got the book in my hands.

Bishop has hit it out of the park yet again. I love this new world and excited about the next book. Write faster!

Anyway...

Otherwise, Foxy and I are still sorting and organizing her stuff into my house. However, there is still a lot to go through. And it doesn't help when on Saturday we hit Michaels to use my $5 coupon which was expiring. We found Halloween dioramas to build at 80% off. And they were cute. So we have several dioramas she will be building while streaming.

I had a couple of fun gardening meetings I went to during the week. One was a medicinal herb growers and buyers meetup. While I am not either, I was looking for sources for either finished products or possible seeds/stock. I was thrilled to meet a person I have 'met' on Facebook. And I met a new friend. Plus they had snacks - so it was a win-win all the way around and worth the 1.5 hour drive.  In December I have another plant-based workshop and then in January a workshop on using plants to dye paper and fabric.

Popping in to see the quilting group, I managed to snag a lunch plus a look at the extended long-arm quilting machine. One day I'll learn how to operate it. And I managed to get a bit of writing done.

This coming week...

  • A workshop on a Cricut technique
  • A list of things to drop-off and get off my to-do list
  • The annual Extension Master Gardener Thanksgiving luncheon and program
  • Picking up Lady K for our Thanksgiving
  • Drunk Journaling and a snail mail workshop at Good Postage
  • Working on the garden
  • Getting some quilting done
  • Want to get 3000 words written

But for now, it is more coffee and cleaning up the kitchen and getting stuff into the freezer.
