Week in Review - Planning 2026!

It has been an interesting week.

Tuesday was spent going to watch Lady K at her Winter Band Concert. Raising children isn't for the faint hearted. Listening to a middle school band is one of those things you have to endure and be excited about.

Friday and Saturday were spent working on some longterm goals with Sarra Cannon's Your Path Forward course online. I am really feeling energized about 2026 and things coming up.

And one of those things I have had to learn is to be more realistic about my time and energy level. And to calculate 'extra' time for family and friends. In other words, my cup runneth over with things I want to accomplish and my cup just ain't that big!

I am pared back some of my commitments and will try to spread things I want to do over a longer period of time. But the energy and enthusiasm is growing!

And the fabric above is one of the things!

I have become addicted to thrift shopping for fabric to make jackets and aprons from. I have a goal to make a few items for a friend to sell at her craft sales. I am giving her a cut, but I am not committing to actually being at the craft fair myself.

Plus...

I am determined to get those stupid 'ducks' in a row and have a book with my name on it out in the world in the near future!

But next week will be spent driving Foxy to/from work two days. However, she is working out of town, so it will be a bit longer ride. Then I will be picking up Lady K at the end of the week for a few days with us, which will include a trip to Book Warehouse and their monthly sale. She has never been and I haven't completed her Christmas present, so I am saving it for her birthday and substituting a trip to buy books.

Until then, it will be quiet here. I have my Fresh Balsam candle burning and have plenty of cookies I want to make. It will be a good finish to 2025 and a great start to 2026!
