Words on Wednesday - 2026 Plans!

Writing Wednesday will be morphing into Words on Wednesday!

I am focusing on establishing a writing routine and getting my semi-cozy, Montana-based mystery into print. Yes, my plan is to Indie publish.

One reason I am zeroing in on this is I want to prove to myself I can COMPLETE a novel. There are at least 3 trilogy series tucked away in various stages of completion. When I get these one out into the world then I know I can tackle the trilogies.

While I am writing on murders and friendships and a possible romance or two (Lindsay and Parker are so getting on my nerves over that aspect), I want to, at least for the first few months, to post stories based on a solo role playing game.

For those who are not aware, we are a family of gamers - especially World of Warcraft being the base we have all played. It is a role playing game - somewhat of a Dragons and Dungeons online game with millions of players. Savvy and Mr. Arizona play DnD with a couple back here in North Carolina whenever they get a chance.

Anise Sweetgum is the main character for me playing Apothecaria. She is a healer/witch sent to fill in for a missing witch. I will forage for herbs, cure the inhabitants, look for clues and more. I think writing the weekly 'sessions' will hone my skills. Who knows, maybe I'll release it as a stand alone novella in the future.

I plan also to keep everyone updated on my word count for Seven Deadly Murders. My goal is about 90,000 words.

Here's to 'pen-to-paper' or fingers-to-keyboard in 2026.
