Week In Review - August 25 - 31

Whew!

It's been a week!

Most of the prior week was taking Savvy to/from work because Mr. Arizona was out of town with his family. But on Sunday, I dumped her at the airport early in the morning for her flight to Nashville for her big corporate meeting/convention.

Actually, we were waiting all week for her to come home...with goodies!

Lady K now has the Blue Power Ranger and the Red Power Ranger masks. She took them with her this weekend to her dad's so she and her cousin could play with them.

But back to last Sunday.

After dumping Savvy at the airport, I came home and dressed and drove the 2.5 hours to Raleigh to attend a wedding. Because I knew I was going to be so close, I had to make a stop at LaFarm Bakery in Cary. Texter had handed over money and instructions to buy white chocolate mini-baguettes.

A favorite stop whenever we are in town!

Then onto the wedding!

The venue for the outdoor wedding was beautiful. The weather had actually been in the 70's all week, which meant it wasn't too hot to really enjoy the ceremony.

The event was small and intimate. I was actually Savvy's stand-in since she had to go out of town. I have known Patience since she was in middle school. She is Savvy's 'Resident Evil' player/companion. The two lovely young ladies have been planning this for years and it was so wonderful to be able to witness the event.

I got home around midnight, only to wake up and get Lady K ready for the first day of school.

Her backpack this year is covered in sequins and fur. It's a unicorn and comes with a hood you can wear. Her lunchbox matches it. And her jacket has unicorns in gold on it. She was so ready.

However, the buses weren't and we have played "Bus, bus, whose got the bus?" for the first 3 or 4 days. But I think it might be working itself out. Although we have lost our good bus driver and the ones we have now seem to wander around neighborhoods where they don't let kids on or off. Weird.

Friday, I was off work and attempting to do some house cleaning while watching the new 'Dark Crystal' series on Netflix.

Otherwise this week...
  • Picked up Mr. Arizona from the airport and returned him and Noel home
  • Wrote 4 posts
  • 5 days of over 5000 steps
  • Finished 3 books
  • Menu planned for the coming week
  • Planned my Hobonichi order (which is going to be in October or November)
  • 'Found' a dream desk curbside and brought it home

For the coming week...
  • Spyro for the Switch is released. Already pre-ordered and released.
  • Get some housecleaning done!
  • Repot some plants and start figuring out where to place them inside for the winter

But for now, sausage 'sliders' for breakfast and then off to work (with coffee in hand).
