Now for my opinion (cause you know I have one)...
The book starts out with one of my most dreaded fears as a mother - losing a child in an airport. Having been in the airline industry for 34 years and traveling with 2 children and all their 'stuff', one or both of them going missing at the airport was a definite fear. Only in this case, we are viewing it from the child's point of view - losing his parents at the airport.
Anyway...
David sees his face on a missing child advertisement. Remember those? Back when milk was in cartons and not plastic jugs. This stirs up all the old fears and feelings and things start spiraling. Then his maybe-we-are-in-a-relationship girlfriend gets pulled in what is going on.
It isn't until later in the book you start getting clues as to what is actually happening to David and the action keeps getting faster and faster. Secrets are revealed which explain to David many of the things which have happened in his live.
A good read and at less than 300 pages, a great weekend read. Grab the book and something to drink and curl up for a good time.
