Bookish Thursday - Currently Reading
Well...
In rereading the Merry Gentry series by Laurell K Hamilton, I realized the last published book, Shiver of Light, has disappeared from my library...sob. So I have it on my list of books I HAVE to buy.
So in the meantime I am reading a couple of books from the library and from my TBR shelves. Actually, one of the TBR reads is one which is on the book club list for January for the library.
Somewhere Beyond the Sea by TJ Klune needs to be read asap.
I really love his Green Creek series. In fact, the last book, Brothersong, is taunting me from the TBR shelf.
From the library, I am enjoying The Rook by Daniel O'Malley.
I am really liking the story and the world he has created. I went into this book, not really expecting to like it (for some unknown reason), but it has proved to be a very enjoyable read.
On the nonfiction front, I have a couple of books I am trying to finish up off my TBR shelf...
One Week Writing Workshop by Karin Adams
A book I had started, since I am working on establishing a writing routine which 'works', this seemed like a logical choice to finish up.
And another book which is going along with some of my plans for 2026 is to go through is My Money, My Way by Kumiko Love.
I hope to finish up all four of these books by the weekend. Problem is, the weather has been unusually warm for January (well, maybe not here in the South) and I have a lot of garden chores to get through. I can't have Savvy showing me up in the gardening area.
Note: I am not talking about the HUGE stack of books sitting beside my chair from the library I hope to dive into. These are my priorities for the week.
