Food and Fiber Friday - 2026 Consolidation Plans!
Food & Fiber Friday and Seedy Saturday will be combined into 'Healthy Homesteading'. Well, I am homesteading, just without chickens or goats or other livestock.
Much like what I did for my reading, I have created some bingo cards with tasks I need to do in the garden and in the house. Plus another one for getting more healthy.
It's a whole 'circle of life' thing. Fresh food from the garden gives me not only the satisfaction of growing it, but also a healthier eating habit. Healthier eating - especially learning more about herbs and their uses - will improve me physically and mentally. Plus, hopefully, save money since I am not buying processed foods.
There are projects I want to do to 'upgrade' my gardening area a bit. Like establishing better weed control and beds.
In the house, not only do I still need to do some reorganizing, but I want to do a couple of things like new flooring and painting the inside of the house.
I will be talking about how the garden is growing. Like right now the garlic and onions are in and seem to be doing well. I'll talk about the peel-and-stick tiles and carpeting I select and put down. I'll share recipes and how my exercise and weight loss is going. I'm aiming for accountability in 2026 and get to where I want to be!
