Week in Review - September 15 - 21

It's the Fall Equinox or Mabon today! Celebrate the season of summer turning to fall.

It was the week of my birthday!

And while I didn't exactly 'celebrate', I had several fun things during the week.

On my birthday I packed up my journal and headed to Barnes and Noble for a stint of pumpkin spice frappachino (my freebie birthday Starbucks) and checked out new books and magazines. Along with a bit of journaling.  It has been a long time since I have done something like this. While I wish I didn't have to drive so far to do it, the two local bookstores in my area don't really have a seating area for browsing.

I went home, happy and content.

Wednesday I had to drive back into Charlotte for a visit with the dermatologist. Luckily, the 'spots' I went to have checked out are used 'wisdom spots', but she did find a small spot on my nose which she zapped with liquid nitrogen.

Since I was in the area, I had a 'birthday gift' from The Bag Lady. But I had to wait a bit before they opened, so a stop at another Barnes and Noble. Two visits in one week to sit and leaf through books and magazines! Doesn't get much better than that.

When I got to The Bag Lady, they were just opening. As it turns out they were hosting Eric Roberts, an Angel Intuitive reader. The owner of the store and I were talking and since I said I was coming in for my 'birthday' present, he offered a quick reading so he could warm up for readings. WOW!

So I had a quick reading with him and was pleased several things I have been working on or working through are where I am supposed to be doing. But very nice young man and I really enjoyed the reading.

Thursday was our Extension Master Gardener meeting which I talked about in yesterday's post. Saturday was our monthly Rosemary n Thyme Herb Society meeting and afterwards a meeting with the Seed Library volunteers. And Friday was a trip to NC Farms and a tour of the facility with the grower.

This coming week is a quiet week. Which is a good thing as I need to do a lot of gardening work. I have two pounds of garlic to get in the ground. Some hardneck and elephant garlic and I am waiting my saffron crocus to get planted into containers.

Plus, my Hobonichi 2026 planners should be arriving. And I want to get back to the solo RPG I am playing. It has really sparked my need to write.

So...

Since the temperatures have risen and it is supposed to rain later in the week, I will be out in the yard in the mornings doing my 'thing'.
