Writing Wednesday - Finding My Voice and POV
I am diving back in.
I want/need to have a complete rough draft of my mystery by the end of the year. And in order to do so, I need to iron out a couple of big wrinkles-point of view and my 'voice'.
Laying in bed and running through the story, I realized I'm not comfortable with the POV I have started out in. And the biggest thing is my 'voice'. I think I have been trying to write like someone else and not like ME.
So...
In between reading Book In A Month and rereading my 'stuff' I already have down on paper, I know there are major parts I need to rewrite and settle on a POV and utilize my style and not worry about making it a 'serious' or 'cozy' mystery. Out will come more snark and my main character's POV.
Let the writing begin!
