Positive Focus Sunday - Day of Rest
Friday and Saturday were spent driving about 1200 miles....
From North Carolina to Georgia to South Carolina, back to North Carolina then back to Georgia and back to North Carolina. All for Foxy and I to watch Lady K play with the high school marching band at a home football game.
Can I say I felt old in more ways than one?
So today (Sunday), I have been totally wiped out. Hours and hours, miles and miles with little stops in between and I need a 'reset'.
However...
Would I miss having spend basically 2 days on the road and not see Lady K in the band? Nope. It was worth it. Foxy and I had 2 quarters of the football game before the half-time performance. We talked about the 'old days' and the 'good old days'. I was fascinated the majority of the tunes the band played during the game were ones I remember from MY high school days.
Anyway...
Earlier in the week I 'broke' my 'don't eat fast food' streak and pulled into What-a-Burger. I was running errands, tired, knew the next few days would be busy and decided to use a coupon I had for a free double meat burger if I bought fries and a drink. So I did.
To preface this a bit, since Foxy and all her friends are into cars, I have become a bit better about noticing 'unusual' cars - vehicles not your usual Ford or Chevy. So the car in front of me drew my attention.
I will admit I had to really peer at it to see what make it really was. At first, I thought it said 'Mitchell', but I didn't think there was such a car.
When I figured out what kind of car it was, I had to laugh as I sat there in my 2017 Subaru Forester which is approaching 200K miles and needs a trip through the car wash.
Guess only the best people eat at What-a-Burger!
Please note: I did not eat the whole meal. I really don't have the capacity to consume fries and a double meat burger. So Slider kindly assisted me in my lunch time dining. He only asked me to remove the tomato off his portion of the burger.
