Bookish Thursday - August Wrap-Up and September TBR

August has been a pretty good reading month. I went through 15 books. Of those, 5 I started and did not finish (DNF). So that leaves 10 books I actually completed. Of those 10, 9 were 4 stars and 1 was a 3 star. Now, I don't give 5 stars lightly. That is reserved for just super fantastic reads. But I think 9 out of 15 books with a solid 'I really liked' is pretty darn good.

Of the books I had selected for August to read, I did go through a lot of them. However, I fell down the rabbit hole of listening to the Tony and Anne Hillerman mysteries and have added them to my TBR for the future month or two.

Anyway...

These are my books I have on my shelf to read. The same pile from August. There are a couple of books not on this pile, Write for Life by Julia Cameron and The Way of the Fearless Writer by Beth Kempton are a couple of books I am slowly working my way through. There is also a stack of books on tarot which I am reading. I also have 1 book for a future book blog tour which will be coming toward the end of the month to finish reading.

The writing books I would like to finish up by the end of September. I am hoping they get me super jazzed for Preptober and NaNoWriMo in October and November.

I do have another book which I will be reading throughout September for a class I am taking through my county extension office.

I am in a class on living with diabetes. I've been through one class already and am enjoying it. I think I may be figuring out how to plan my meals and snacks a bit better now. More about that at a later time.

But my real problem is my stack of library books which has expanded like a dry sponge in a sink filled with water!

Not too bad, right? I have actually finished Watcher in the Woods by Kelley Armstrong. I love her Rockton series. So another 10 books to add to my pile of books. And the audio books I will be listening too, like Everyone In My Family Has Killed Someone by Benjamin Stevenson. So far, it's a fun listen. Not quite as humorous as Murder Your Employer by Rupert Holmes I listened to in August.

However...

Yeah...

I have a problem!

And I have 2 books on hold at the library.

Basically, I need to read a book a day to get through ALL these books. Plus September is a busy month for me with a lot of activities.

So...

DO NOT DISTURB!

I'm reading!
