Writing Wednesday - Well Sort-Of

February is traditionally by month of YUCK! Regardless of what is going on in the world. And this year has been no exception. I think in future I am just going to write February off the calendar and hibernate.

Anyway...

Actual novel writing has not occurred. However, I have been listening to videos and taking notes on self-publishing with the Publish and Thrive course I am taking. There is a list of to-do's being formulated for future action.

And I was pouting over my lack of actual 'writing'. Until I started realizing I had a couple of deadlines coming up. Deadlines for submitting posts for blog tours. I have been reading and taking notes on books and videos and soon, an actual documentary. 

So far in 2021, I have accepted five blog tour assignments.

I don't get paid for them with anything except receiving a copy of the books, or course material, in exchange for participating in the blog tour. I also get a few more people visiting my website during the tour (hopefully). 

It also gives me a chance to 'get my name out there' and work under a deadline for submitting my post. 

Then I recorded the latest word count for the posts I have written during February. While I missed more days in February than I did in January, I have managed to commit just over 4000 words and still have a few more days to go.

I'm hanging in there and am glad February is a short month.

Oh, and did I mention I have started looking into getting my own house?
