Week in Review - February 1 - 7, 2021

For someone who thinks she isn't doing anything, all of a sudden my life seems very, very busy.

Most of the week seemed to be checking things off my 'to-do' list and going to work.

As you can see from the above collage, I was gifted a bouquet of flowers. They were 'experimenting' in the produce department about reusing flowers which are technically out of date and combining them into another arrangement.

It was a really large display of flowers and I loved it. However, as I was exciting the store, I realized in my room I didn't have any space. Well, I could make space, but I would have to spend time moving things around. So I gave it away as I left work. There was a couple pushing their cart of groceries out the door and they just seemed like the right people to give it too. She was delighted with the flowers, so I knew I had made the correct decision. They were going to a good home.

A surprise this week was my lasagna soup. It went over well at the DND gaming Thursday night. So much so, Mr. Arizona went out and bought the ingredients so I could make him a pot of it. Considering his eating habits, the fact I hit on something he liked and actually wanted again was a pleasant surprise.

I also made another couple of Blueberry Coffee Cake for work on Super Bowl Sunday. However, I left work early to pick up Lady K as Texter was having shoulder/back issues and was back at the ER. This morning (Monday), Lady K is set up in my bed for school. One good thing about remote learning is she can come to my house and be fine with schoolwork.

One BIG thing I wanted off my to-do list was putting seeds in the mail to Montana. Now, depending on the U.S. Postal Service, I'm not exactly sure when it will arrive, but at least it's off my list.

I did pick up The Listening Path, the latest Julia Cameron book. Between that, and another book I will be doing a future blog tour post on, I am back to doing morning pages. And it feels good. It also means I am doing more journaling too.

Managing to squeeze in a bit of World of Warcraft helped to round out the week.

However, this week will be more busy! This week includes...

  • Publish & Thrive Workshop starts
  • Going to Texter's to babysit Lady K and the pets while she and Mr. RaceCar are in Las Vegas. This will be her first trip there, so she is excited.
  • More writing on The Queen's Sanctuary. I need to get my first 'vomit' draft, as Brandon Sanderson calls it, done.
But for now, monitoring schoolwork and getting bits and pieces written and done and crossed off my weekly task list.

Of course, that includes more coffee!
