Week in Review - September 13 - 19, 2021

It's been a great birthday week!

Started out this week in Greensboro for the afternoon, enjoying tea with Miss C at the O'Henry Hotel. What a wonderful experience! And one which will be repeated.

The other 'major' news is Lady K tested positive for covid. She ran a fever on Tuesday (which dropped to a low-grade fever Wednesday) and on Friday, tested positive. I actually FaceTimed her Monday and Thursday and if ever there was a person who was not sick feeling, it was her. But she is home, remote learning until the 27th.

In the meantime, Texter and Mr. Cobra are not under lockdown as they started running a fever and have 'Hand, Foot and Mouth'! They are itchy and cranky. I have thrown stuff on the front porch for them and leave.

I'm not allowing 'sick people' in the house!

Tuesday, I took stuff to Goodwill and went in to look around. I scored some books at two different stores here in Gastonia. Very, very happy.

Friday, I got the lawn mowed and have started putting down cardboard in the back yard to prepare for next spring and an expanded garden area.

Otherwise this week...
  • Finished 6 books (and may be all my September TBR books finished)
  • Walked 21.5 miles
  • Wrote 4 posts
  • Two batches of raspberry jam and 2 quarts of raspberry juice for jelly
  • BBQ made for sandwiches this week

This coming week...
  • An 'experiment' at work to see if we can keep up with demand on Sundays
  • Grape and raspberry jelly need to be made
  • Making chili for inventory helpers at my old Gamestop store
  • Lots of books coming in the mail
  • CocoDaisy Halloween preorder arriving
  • Cooler weather = more gardening

But for now, more coffee, breakfast and off to work!
