Week in Review - November 2 - 8

Boy, has this week been tough! I don't know whether it is the switch in time or what. But I have been coming home from work and just dying. Basically coming home, eating dinner and climbing into bed. Very little writing has been done for NaNoWriMo

Well, I am at 8000 words. And I am off on Tuesday and Friday. My plan is to pretend I am not here on those days and hiding in my room and only emerging to eat or pee!

Anyway...

This past week I received a couple of gifts I ordered for Lady K for Christmas. She loves Legos and I bought her a large set of Minecraft-themed legos. Then I bought the What It Means to Be a Bird by David Allen Sibley. She birdwatcher with me and while the book is a bit over her head in parts, a lot of it she can read and understand. This is a book we will share together while learning more about birds.

On Election Day (huzzah!) discovered a new-to-me Mexican food restaurant. The thing is I go to that shopping area a few times a month as I like the post office and the Goodwill there. And never noticed it before. But Savvy and Mr. Arizona stopped there and liked it. So I stopped on my way home and really enjoyed a late afternoon/early evening dinner. I ate WAY too much!

But this past week at work we have been ramping up the to-go orders, trying to hit 300 orders in one week. We made it to 271 last week! The same week last year we had only 85 orders. My manager for to-go and I had fun laughing over what we went through for our first 'holiday' season in 2019. And of course, this year is so odd. However, we are trending in the right direction and fingers crossed, we will hit 300 order this coming week.

Otherwise this week...
  • Wrote 6 posts
  • Finished one book
  • Walked over 5000 steps 5 days
  • And, fingers crossed, Bird-Rat has been dispatched

This coming week...
  • WRITE!
  • Start answering this pile of letters I have which are way behind in replies
  • Research a website for a blog tour post
  • Start using my 'yoga cards' for a simple stretching routine

But for now, more coffee and head to work!
