Spring Is Springing
It’s been a strange March. Warm temperatures and periods of rain. It’s been in the 70’s for most of March. The upside is that spring flowers are out in force and strawberries should be ready a couple of weeks early. The downside is that pine pollen is everywhere and heavy.
So during my breaks I have been walking outside the building at work. There are bright pink azaleas in the rain.
Bright yellow tulips, along with orange and bi-colored tulips surrounded by pansy.
And one of my favorite parts is the stream that goes through the parking lot area at work. We have a wooden bridge which goes over it and most of the year it is dry, especially in the past few years with the lack of rainwater. Now it is beautiful.
It’s hard to think this lovely little bit of nature runs through a parking lot in the middle of town. In some ways this particular time is so anal about ‘rules and regulations’, but the one to maintain trees and nature works.
