LitNuts! - Pleasing Both the Reader and the Writer
Once again I am honored to be allowed to participate in a review for WOW-Women on Writing. This time it is reviewing the website LitNuts.
So a bit about the site and LitNuts -
About LitNut and owners Kathleen Meyer and her father, Mike O'Mary:
LitNuts is a woman-owned, family-run business founded by Kathleen Meyer and her father, Mike O'Mary, who share a love of literature and reading. Kathleen is an avid reader with 10 years of marketing experience, including with Dream of Things, a small press founded by Mike in 2009. During its 10 year history, Dream of Things published three New York Times Bestsellers, three winners of the Hoffer Award, and one book that has been optioned for a film. Kathleen and Mike drew upon their experience of publishing and marketing books on a shoestring budget to create LitNuts, in the hope of helping other indie presses achieve success.

Now, my opinion...
First, I am an avid reader and I love discovering 'new' authors. There are some free books, as well as low cost books. And the range of books cover all interests. You can also target your reading by genre, if you want. So fun!
And because they are not just targeting free or inexpensive books, I think the quality of the reading might be just a little better. I have tried some of the other sites with free books and the writing is a bit 'questionable'.
But I am also a hopeful author. And would love to have a book in print in the next year (or so). This gives me a create platform to accomplish that goal. And for only $25 to promote on their site, it is definitely a great site for a beginning writer to have some inexpensive exposure.
Reading and writing all in one spot!
