Week in Review - June 12 - 18, 2023

Zoom!

And the week passed right by!

This time last week I had Kleenex (actually Puffs) stuffed up my nose. My sinuses decided to drain all the liquid from my body via my nose. I was a faucet. Which makes going to work in the Learning Garden with the Master Gardener groups just so much fun (please note - sarcasm).

I called off work - because just how great would it be to be dripping nasal fluid over cut fruit! Two doses of NyQuil later, it finally stopped and I had slept the day away.

The next day I did Hotline Training with the Master Gardeners and then was invited to dinner with a garden buddy and her hubby. I so love their house and yard.

Wednesday I was on the road to Brevard for a two-fold purpose. The first was to attend a library book sale on their last day so I could get a box of boxes for $5. I bought 5 boxes. But the MAIN reason was to meet up with a Facebook friend. Beth Ann and I 'met' over some kind of swap or something many years ago. And have stayed connected since then. This was the first time we have met in person. There will be more meet-ups in the future as we are only 1.5 hours away from each other. And I love the area where she lives.

Thursday was a book blog tour post and the Master Gardener monthly meeting. The meeting was interesting as it was about bonsai. Then off to work.

I didn't go to work again on Friday. There was a no truck coming in and we were out of watermelons and cantaloupe which means there would be nothing to do. So I got to work up and complete the presentation for the Herb Society meeting on Saturday. Win-Win!

Saturday was the meeting and then off to work to play catch up on cutting fruit. I came home and found a message from someone on Facebook Marketplace that I could have something I inquired about for free. Come get it.

Sunday morning, bright and early, I messaged the person and hit the road - 60 miles away - to pick up, not one, but two, loads of trays for planting seeds and cell packs. They are all used and have been in a storage barn for about 10 years. But it is literally several thousand dollars worth of products. I will be sorting and organizing the jumble of 'stuff' and handing out to the Herb Society members, Master Gardeners and friends.

Otherwise this week...

  • Wrote 5 posts
  • Added a calendar to the Rosemary and Thyme website
  • Finished 4 books
  • Walked 17 miles

This coming week...

  • Plan for Q3
  • 2 Master Gardening events and 1 library event
  • Sorting and organizing trays
  • WEEDING and MOWING
  • Clean house
  • Update Rosemary and Thyme website and calendar

But for now, breakfast and then dress to go to Master Gardener event and then off to work! And hope that it does rain on my yard and doesn't pass me by.
