Writing Wednesday - I'm Still Here!
Yes, it's been awhile.
This year has not been kind to me, physically and mentally.
However, feeling much better and back on track for getting some writing done. Both for my website and for my mystery.
I originally had planned for the mystery to be two books. But it wasn't coming together for me as I couldn't figure out how to arc from one book to another. Then I had an epiphany and instead of dual books I will have a dual timeline. Problem one solved.
Now I need to go through the story I have in mind for book one and merge book two with it. Thus, I have 'stuff' out to write scene cards and notes - different colors for different characters.
I am excited about getting back to doing some writing rather than sitting in front of the computer, zoned out, playing solitaire games while listening to YouTube videos.
There is a few gaps in the timeline of the story I need to work out. So I am going to make scene cards for what I know so far. And then brainstorm on scenes to bridge the gaps.
As a side note, for those who follow NaNoWriMo and for people who follow my blog, I am not participating with NaNoWriMo this year. Due to some drama which has been going on over the past year or so, many people are pulling out of NaNo. Instead I am doing a Rough Draft Challenge with Sarra Cannon and her Heart Breathings channel.
Since this 'challenge' doesn't necessarily depend on words written, I am looking at the hours I work on 7 Deadly Murders, as well as, posts and presentations I am doing in the coming year. It feels go to be back behind the keyboard in a more positive mode.
Now back to writing out the scene cards!
