Week in Review - March 17 - 24 (an extra day in there)
Yes, it's been that kind of a week.
So I'll lead out with a pretty picture or two.
Yesterday (Sunday), the momma cat which was trapped, along with her 4 kittens which we had been fostering, decided her kittens were in good hands and passed over the rainbow bridge. She had been fine, wild, but fine and then overnight she gave up the fight.
So now, just at the point she might have started weaning them (or a few days early), we are teaching 4 kittens to lap up kitten formula from a bowl or take it from a bottle. Day one when fine. They quickly learned the bottle, messy, but we are all learning. And a couple of them are learning to drink it from a bowl. Next will be adding a bit of kitten chow to the milk.
The GOOD thing which happened this week is we are waiting on the results of the third round of blood tests to confirm the diagnosis for Texter. Having an answer makes all the difference in the world.
Otherwise this week...
- On-boarding with Food Lion
- Planted peas and up-potted some plants
- Texter overnighted
- Savvy came over and rode with me to drop off Lady K to her daddy's. Nachos followed as our dinner.
- Cupcakes to school for Lady K's birthday celebration
- Lady K's birthday!
This week...
- The first week of training to be a cashier at Food Lion
- Getting in the 'groove' of going to work again
- Feeding 4 babies
- Some second-quarter goal planning and revising
- Lady K's birthday outing with Texter and Mr. RaceCar
- Up-potting more seedlings
- Cleaning up planters at the elementary school
But for now, it's definitely more coffee!
