Week in Review - October 19 - 25
I am back at work!
After wrangling with HR about how the form from the doctor was filled out (yes, EVERY blank has to be filled in correctly, all t' crossed and i's dotted), I was finally allowed to go back to work. A couple of days later than I wanted and at 8 hours a day rather than 4 hours, but it has worked.
I am feeling like my 'old' self before all things started going wrong, so that's great. But I am back at work and loving it.
But before I went back to work I did manage a trip to IKEA (details to follow next Saturday) and I definitely have some plans once I get into my own home.
Lots of 'Preptober' work setting up for NaNoWriMo. I still have a couple of things I want to do, especially after reading Elizabeth George's book on writing, Mastering the Process. She has a couple of interesting twists to outlining her book I would like to delve into further.
I started the week off with a weekend stay from Lady K. And I have invested in some actual plant lights. I liked the first two I got, so I ordered 2 more. They are set with a timer which is nice for the days I go to work. It will be interested to see how the plants like them. I am hoping for more than just hanging in there.
A new plant followed me home, a 'Cebu Blue' Pothos. Or to be more correct Epipremnum pinnatum 'Cebu Blue'. Of course, on my list of reward for NaNoWriMo for hitting certain milestones, I have 'new plant' and I have some in mind already.
Otherwise this week...
- Finished 3 books
- Started playing World of Warcraft again (the new expansion comes out the end of the year)
- Walked over 2500 steps 7 days and over 5000 steps on 2 days (back at work!)
- Wrote 7 posts or 2122 words
- Took a car load of clothes to Goodwill for Texter and Mr. RaceCar
This coming week...
- My order from Crio Bru should be here. More on that later.
- The final prep for NaNoWriMo
- Getting back into my work routine
But for now, it's back to work!
