Week in Review - June 14 - 20
Ok...
I'm not going to dwell too long or too much on the 'hell' we have been going through this past week. The bottom line is that Texter is now my upstairs dweller. And it seems Lady K will be visiting every other weekend now. Plus Texter, whose health (mental and physical) isn't great, but she is working on it, has a job offer of working with me starting in August. So there.
But on a more positive and upbeat note (which I am trying to maintain while dealing with the 'other' stuff)...
I made four little peach cobblers for my work peeps. The best part was when the young African-American assistant customer service manager explained to someone his 'grandmother' made it for him. I'm his work grandmother!
Veggies are starting to be harvested. I have consumed two yellow cherry tomatoes - 'Galina'. This is part of the Seedlinked varieties I am trialing this year. I have picked a zucchini and a little cucumber and some bell peppers (small). Plus I am regularly crushing cucumber beetles on the plants. Very satisfying.
Slider is getting HUGE! I figure he is close to 30 pounds now and 3 months old. If his feet are anything to go by, he will be about the size of a horse! House training is coming along pretty well. He's picking up on the whole idea. Now to get the front fence up so we can let him out and not keep him on a leash.
Otherwise this week...
- Walked 20.1 miles this week. Was probably a bit more as there were times I didn't have on my Apple Watch.
- Have several books started, but didn't actually finish any. But I did order and received a hardcopy of Book One in the MurderBot series by Martha Wells.
- Rescued 3 orchids from work - just phals, but lovely colors.
- Did manage to write 4 posts
This coming week...
- Finish up in next day or two a book for a blog tour review!
- Buy more bird seed before the birds start knocking on the front door demanding seed
- Set out water to be infused by the Full Moon on the 24th
- Set up planner pages for July
- Set up for Q3 and move plans/goals/projects over
- Get ready for Camp NaNoWriMo in July
But for now, it's time to get more coffee and start rearranging boxes in the closet in order to free up some room for Texter and Lady K's stuff.
