Bookish Thursday - December To-Be-Read
The above are the books I had on hand as of November 23. And I know there were a couple more books expected in by the end of the month. So between these books and books I already had on hand that was acquired earlier in November, I have about 15 books to try and get through in December.
One of the books is a MUST as it is for a book blog tour. The others are ones I either won or purchased myself. I am trying to slot in several books from the library.
Now that NaNoWriMo is over with (and I WON!), my plan is to read more and watch less TV. Of course, that will impact my needlework progress unless I listen to an audio book. And I do have 2 books not in the physical pile I need to listen too - Babel and Ordinary Monsters.
I am going to track, hopefully, and see how it goes for my reading in December by ignoring TV and reading more. I am in awe of some YouTube book reviewers schedule out what they are reading each month. Of course, for most of them, it is more of a job in order to produce content. But they read a lot!
Cozy mysteries are a favorite of mine. They are so predictable and I love it. So I am really interested in The Golden Spoon and Mastering the Art of French Murder, which I won. What could be better - murder and food?
On my Kindle I am reading and highlighting Plant Witchery by Juliet Diaz which talks about plants and their more 'witchy' uses. So interesting. But I need to reach for my Kindle more as I have more books than I care to admit on it.
I want to try and get through as many of these books as possible this month. My college class I am auditing will be starting the first part of January and I'm not sure what my load will be like with one class (or, at this point, exactly what the class will be). And with the holidays in December, my work load will increase for a few hours each week.
My goal would be to get at least 15 books finished off in December. Wish me luck!
