Wrapping Up the Year With One Last Project
Christmas was special this year as Lady K began to understand 'presents'. We had a quiet and low-key celebration this year. As Savvy says, "I bought a house!".
I did manage to knock out one project while watching "Face Off" episodes. The cowl is suppose to go to the daughter of a friend at work (at least that is my plan). I think she will like it as much as the one I made for her mother, which doesn't have ears. I really love working with the Lion Brand Heartland yarn. It's really soft and makes working with it a delight. This is a far cry from the early 80's (that's 1980's) when I learned to knit and you either had to be lucky enough to have a yarn store in your area (no internet ordering then!) or it was Red Heart acrylic yarn, which was like steel wool.
Now if I can find the pattern for the heavy sock slippers I want to make!
