NOT Fabric and Fiber Friday, but...
Flora and Fauna!
This past Wednesday, the planets aligned.
Lady K was out of school for a teacher's workday. The rest of us were off work. The temperature was expected to be in the mid-70's and sunny.
What better day to go to the North Carolina Zoo?
Texter and Savvy haven't been to this zoo since they were in high school. Lady K hadn't been before at all.
Lady K was set to tell us which way to go.

One of the benefits of learning to read means it translates to reading maps also.
Lady K enjoyed the play areas. She did have her eye on the zip-lines, but we vetoed that idea until she was a bit older.
Anything involving 'kitty-cats' was a hit.
We did get a bit of a laugh in the North American section which was attempting to recreate Yellowstone, complete with geysers. And bison. And elk.
Lady K is a Red-tailed Hawk.
While Texter tries to pretend to be a Bald Eagle.
And Aunt Savvy gets some assistance to go from a Great Blue Heron to a Turkey Vulture.
Of course, my favorite was the 'birdhouse' or rather the plants.
A flamingo aura?
