Week in Review - January 5 - 11
Normally, and or the past several years, I do my week in review on Sunday mornings.
Sunday mornings are a favorite time of mine. I love Sunday mornings. Not for the aspect of attending church, but they always seem 'softer' and quieter.
But these days, thanks to being a pain in the ass at work about being accurate, I am scheduled for Sunday mornings at 6:30 a.m. Sundays are when we start a new work week and there are two sets of paperwork to wrap up the front office. And when you are obsessed with being 'even' and look for where the problems are, you get scheduled for Sunday mornings.
So...
I am writing my Sunday post and creating my Monday Mandala on Saturday night. See what an active social live I have. We will see how it goes from here.
That being said...

I am loving the spring flowers coming into the store. The weather has been up and down here and not really overly cold, but dark and damp. What I am really looking forward to is next Sunday and a class at UNC Botanical Gardens on macrophotography with my iPhone. We get a lens for our phone for the class and I haven't been to the gardens yet, so it's a double win. And I'll be off on a Sunday!
I am enjoying being in my new Hobonichi planners for 2020. It's fun to take clean pages and fill them up with lists and events.
My own bed is really nice after several days with Lady K. The physics behind how someone who is so slender and how she can take up 2/3 of a double bed is beyond me.
On the subject of my finances, they are improving. Or rather, my attention to them is getting better. Still not where I want to be, but I am actually having a few dollars left between paychecks instead of having to hunt for dollars. It's a great feeling.
That being said, it also makes the school fund raiser a 'can-do'. Even when it is Chuckee Cheese.
I managed to go through my 'later' list on my library site. I cleaned it up from 1036 books down to 975 books I want to read. I took out the ones I have already read which were sitting there.
And I FINALLY got Photoshop installed on this desktop. Since my edition is from 2012, it is really difficult to get support from Adobe when it comes to finding the download link. But it is back and I can resume doing my digital art, mainly creating my mandalas.
The BIG event during my stay with Lady K and Texter was that Lady K created her own character on World of Warcraft. While she is still a little young to actually play the game, she has started and really loves running around the world.
Otherwise this week...
- Walked over 5000 steps 6 days
- Wrote 2 posts
- Finished 19 books - I didn't read them all last week, but are an update of books I have read over the past month as I purged my list
This coming week...
- Writing and hopefully, attending a writer's workshop at the library
- Reviewing finances prior to getting paid on Wednesday
- Taking Lady K on Friday to meet up with her dad
But for now, it's off to enjoy my smelling 'Fresh Cut Lilacs' candle and some World of Warcraft before bed.
