Positive Focus Thursday - January 25

Sometimes it seems hard to find anything positive going on around you. But it is there.

My amaryllis, which was suppose to bloom at Christmas, acted, well, weird. One bulb started sprouting immediately, put up two short flower spikes and last only a couple of days. The other bulb (it was a set), took forever to start growing.

But when it did, the flower spike was what I was expecting. Except for the color! It was suppose to be white with red stripes, like the first one.

Nope, solid, brillant red! And I love it!

So on one spike, four huge red flowers.

Lately, we haven't had the snow, but we have had the fog in the mornings. You could look at it as being cold and damp and foggy - just yucky.

But...

Fog makes trees 'fuzzy' and look like they have been coated in sugar. It's very pretty, especially when the sun starts shining through.

Something I keep over my desk -

Peacock feathers!

Shimmering and colorful.

Sometimes it's not about a BIG positive focus to make your day. But rather the little things, which we see out of the corner of our eye, which give us joy.

  1. I love how you can find beauty and joy in the little things around you. Living life with your eyes wide open to the possibilities and the beauty that is around is the perfect way to live life, in my humble opinion. Love the peacock feathers!
