Week in Review - March 27 - April 2, 2023

Well...

It's been a busy week.

It was a week of picking up bricks and retaining wall blocks. Being interviewed by a friend of Texter's who lives in Brazil who is working on her Master's and creating an app to assist small commercial farmers and homesteaders. Picking up Lady K for her to spend with us during Spring Break.

I have also started working on editing the rough draft of my memoir cookbook for Camp NaNoWriMo. My hope is to have it edited enough to send to some beta readers in May.

Friday morning was spent with 4 Master Gardeners who had been given permission to dig up plants for the annual plant sale in May. It was a lot of fun and hearing stories of the property from the 82 year old woman who lived there. There were at least 50 years of memories for her in every tree, shrub and flower.

Weather has been alternating between rain and wind and 'nice'. However, between lugging bricks and digging plants, my yard has had little done to it with regard to getting my veggie garden set up and seedlings set out.

This coming week...

  • Monday - Beach trip with Lady K (very early departure)
  • Tuesday - at home, but mowing and gardening chores
  • Wednesday - Road trip to Raleigh to see Miss Texas and finally give her the Christmas present I have had for almost 4 months now. Of course, a stop at La Farm is in the plans.
  • Thursday - Lady K back with her mom and me resting and in the garden

But by the time you are reading this on Monday morning, I will be on the road to Carolina Beach - with coffee in hand!
