Week in Review - January 18 - 24

Yes, I missed last week's review. And no, I'm not allowing myself to feel guilty or play catch-up. So there!

Anyway...

Weather this past week has been cool, but sunny for the most part. One of my pots of bulbs is really springing up like crazy. I am really hoping in another month I'll have blooms.

It's been a busy week. Not so much at work, even though we did make our goal of 300+ orders for the week. But it was slower than usual during the week it felt like. But on the home front it has been a bit busy.

Monday night and Tuesday morning I made 'breakfast' for Savvy's reset crew. During the rest of the week I worked on listening to a Save The Cat video course for a review to come.

I did manage to 'discover' a new documentary series which I think EVERYONE should watch - PBS's 'Native America'.  I'm a bit late to the game as it came out in 2018. But a really good series and super interesting.

Saturday morning I picked up Lady K as her sleepover was cancelled.

Saturday evening we both were propped up in our respective spaces. She polished off my Limited Edition Oreos which had 3 different flavors of filling. At least I am not compelled to finish them off myself!

I picked up the crochet work I needed to get done and watched Bridgerton. I am now on the fan train for this series. It is so much fun to watch, if you like period dramas. And it's not 'true' to the period as there are a couple of interesting twists. But Shonda Rhimes is involved in this production, so it has to be good. And yummy it is!

Before we closed ourselves in the bedroom, Lady K and I managed a stop at the Charlotte Farmer's Market. My main reason to stop there was to visit Rio Bertolini Pasta.

I picked up 3 different ravioli, some more Black Pepper spaghetti and 4 sauces - 2 vodka and 2 tomato basil. One set of ravioli and a sauce will go to my customer service manager who is vegan. The rest are mine! And Savvy's.

We also go some NC apples, lettuce, a loaf of sourdough bread, free range eggs, green beans (for me) and carrots (for Lady K). So a lot of food goodness.

On my menu for this past week I picked up some of the Mighty Spark Queso Fresco Turkey Burgers.

A tiny bit of Miracle Whip (the reduced sodium version) and raw spinach instead of lettuce. So good! I had these a couple of nights this past week.

I need all this 'good' food after a stop at Krispy Kreme with Lady K Saturday morning.

Saturday afternoon included a three hour zoom meeting with a group I am involved with about astrology, tarot, shadow work and other related items. Part of what we discussed were our cards for the year in conjunction with our soul and personality cards. It reinforced something I was planning to do concerning my writing, but wondered if I should do it or not. I'm doing it! More on that to come.

So this coming week...

  • Working on my writing
  • Post a blog tour post (among other posts)
  • Study on astrology and tarot continuing
  • Enroll in a writing course (taking that step)
  • Some garden clean-up and reorganization - weather permitting
  • End of month budget and project review and setting up for February
  • Oil change for my 'White Knight'
  • More 'Bridgerton' and crocheting (halfway through the blanket which is huge)

But for now, it's packing up my lunch and off to work - with coffee in hand!
