Week In Review - June 3 - 9

Texter has a job!

Sometimes Mom here, opening her big mouth, pays off. It's only part time (for now), but she is working at Candy Warehouse. She's excited, working in a candy warehouse. I'm excited because it's about a mile from the house, so she could walk if she had to.

Anyway...

We have been exploring a bit of our new hometown.

While Texter was interviewing, Lady K and I went to the park near us. While one part is HUGE, it was in the sun and we were there at 2:00 p.m., so Grandma needed some shade.

This is a smaller play area and the seat she is in spins around and around and around.

Earlier in the week, we went to another part of the park to the 'sprayground'.

Nevin Community Park is huge, almost 200 acres with tons of trails. We still have a lot of exploring here to do.

Lady K wasn't the only one out and about learning about Charlotte. I 'forced' myself to get out and go participate in the World Wide Knitting In Public Day hosted by the Charlotte Knitting Guild at the Mint Museum.

I say 'forced', because getting out someplace new, especially by myself, is not something I am really comfortable with. In fact, I had about a million reasons not to go. But I went and glad I did.

Knitters, and crocheters, met at the museum and had the large lobby area to sit and knit. The Guild had a give-away table and door prizes during the time we were there.

I came home with this...

But more on my ideas for this later.

I did manage to sneak into one of the galleries for a quick peek, I now have the Mint Museum on my list of a place to revisit, probably with Savvy, for a fall/winter day lesiurely visit.

With Texter's love for all things 'fox', I can't let her near this desk.

So an exciting week all the way around.

Otherwise this week...

  • Finished (and reread) 3 books
  • Wrote 7 blog posts
  • Worked on some genealogy
  • Made it through all the boxes and bins. Now I need bookcases and a filing cabinet

This week...

  • More walking!
  • More study on my tarot cards and start working with this book

I must really need to be using this book as I also had a copy in storage!

  • Finish up pair of socks while binge watching 'Who Do You Think You Are?' the UK version
  • Tidy up desk and worktable and pull out Joy quilt and see where I stand with it exactly
  • WRITE! Need to pull out 2017 NaNoWriMo project and work on my timeline.
  • Catch up on my journal. Way, way behind.
  • Stand and look at my tomato plants, willing them to stop with the blight and those in the clay soil out front to 'Grow Damn It!'
  • Finish two books I've won from Goodreads.

But for now, more coffee.

  1. Spot on with this write-up, I actually think this web site needs rather more consideration. I’ll in all probability be once more to read far more, thanks for that info. online casino games
